Induction Motor

Induction motors are everywhere. Washing machines, fans, electric drills, and most air conditioners. An induction motor works by creating a rotating magnetic field with turns a rotor in result. In an attempt to understand electric motors I have decided to build one using very simple materials. Wire coils, a voltage regulator and an aluminum can (Arizona Tea). The idea is quite simple and the physics is complex...I'm focusing on the idea. As a result of building this motor I can better understand and explain to others the principles of the motors that we use everyday.
