HGR is a wonderful place to pick up interesting things to reverse engineer and hack.  I came upon this particular specimen during our trip on 6/5/2010.  It has no branding marks, meaning it was probably a custom build.

Interface:

• Ethernet port, labeled "AB Ethernet"
• DB-9 Female Port, labeled "Config"
• DB-9 Female Port, labeled "ComPlay"

When turned on, the display shows a number in red (#3008) and then begins playing what I guess is the last program.  The display appears to be dual-colored (red and yellow), and was probably a display in a manufacturing plant, displaying the goals and actuals of two groups.

Although I've aquired the thing, I don't have time to reverse engineer it.  It would look pretty slick in our shop, and may be a cool project.  Bonus points for allowing commands from the internet.
