Makers' Alliance Classes

MA exists to enable its members to learn and work together.  We teach and train each other in what we know.  Teaching gives us an opportunity to share what we know with others, to learn a subject we already know even better, and develop our public speaking and presentation skills.

Planned Classes

Date Course Description
4/30/2010 Streetwise CSS guppy will school you on Cascading Style Sheets for the real world.
5/4/2010 Streetwise CSS (continuation) Part 2
5/7/2010 LISP Joe O'Donnell will lead the seminar

Requests

We will be providing a mechanism to allow members to request a class be taught.  Existing classes or new classes can be requested.

I am hoping that we can also offer classes as a product that we can use for fundraising purposes.  Once we have figured out all the logistics for this, it should happen, but for now the focus will be on getting our members going on creating courses.

Teachers wanted

guppy is trying to get a teaching committee organized.  The idea of the committee is to facilitate coordination and organization of the courses that we will offer, and to provide an environment for members who want to teach to help each other improve our craft.

If you're interested in putting a class together, send a message to teachers@makersalliance.org.  Before you can send messages to this mailing list, you will need to subscribe at the mailing list information page.  So do that first.
